The three caravels\u2014the Santa Mar\u00eda, the Pinta, and the Ni\u00f1a\u2014advance across a raging sea whose force symbolizes the uncertainty, fear, and emotional conflict that accompanied the voyage.<br \/>\nThe composition is structured as a visual spiral that guides the eye from the Santa Mar\u00eda, following the waves, ascending towards the sky, and finally returning to the Pinta. This continuous journey reinforces the idea of \u200b\u200ba voyage without guarantees.<br \/>\nThe chromatic contrast between the cool tones of the sea and the warm tones of the sky underscores the duality that defines the work: doubt and hope, danger and faith, adversity and heroism.
