Doing great things is possible if we each do our part… Have faith and fight for what you believe in.
This charity gala, organized by the BNI Toledo Excelencia group and Banco Mediolanum, aimed to create an event that would support La Casa de Aaron, a non-profit organization whose main objective is to provide support, resources, and treatments to children with rare diseases and children with special needs.
Alfonso Silván received an invitation to participate as an artist and therefore decided to create and donate a unique work of art, made especially to honor this association. The artwork was auctioned at the gala, raising 3,000 euros, which was an important and essential part of the total of 15,000 euros raised that day.
The artwork "Liberation," created by A. Silván, was commissioned specifically for the event, and is therefore rich in symbolism. During the charity gala, Silván explained the meaning of the piece, which primarily features three key elements. The sky represents the organization La Casa de Aaron, whose main objective is to help children with special needs; hence, the sky opens up and illuminates with great warmth. The calm sea symbolizes the feelings of the children's families upon receiving this support and assistance. Finally, the whale, the central figure, depicted in its full splendor, conveys a sense of liberation and represents these children.
Thanks to this, the planned objective was exceeded, and therefore La Casa de Aaron obtained sufficient financial resources to allocate them to create a multisensory room for the more than 30 children they host in their association.
A.Silván is a socially conscious artist who is always open and proactive in supporting causes like this. He firmly believes that great things can be achieved through community, and there are many different ways to help, as he himself said:
“Sometimes we don’t know how we can help, but there’s always a way. Whether it’s with money, talent, work, or all of these… There’s always a path, and the world will thank you for bringing light where there was only darkness, color where there was only gray. Love is the engine that moves the world, let’s keep it going.”
