The work of art dedicated to the Mexican boxer Saul Álvarez, better known as Canelo, was the one with which A.Silván participated in the Entre Zarzas festival held in 2023.
A work that serves as a tribute to the boxer and world champion, whom the artist has followed since his early days and who has been a great inspiration to him both inside and outside the ring. As always, Alfonso's painting and artwork are closely tied to his personal experience. Also, and to the great surprise of the artist and his team, Canelo and boxing in general were well-known and followed by the townspeople, so it was a pleasure and success to enjoy the process and outcome of the work with them.
An incredible experience for the artist. It was a huge challenge because he only had three days to complete the work, and it was his first time painting a mural. Despite everything, the work and the result were a true success, so much so that the work was covered not only by the Navarra news outlet, but also by the prestigious Mexican boxing journalist Chava Rodríguez of ESPN.
