A piece I created purely for fun and out of a need to experiment. A portrait of a hero you all know…
He appears strong, agile, funny, and self-assured. But behind the mask hides a young man silently battling his own inner turmoil, marked by guilt, responsibility, and many other internal conflicts.
Without a doubt, this fan art it portrays a hero with whom almost everyone in my generation has identified at some point. That's why painting this picture, giving it a new look, with red as the main color (a color we share as a symbol of identity), made me, for several moments, return to my childhood and reconnect with the small, fun-loving, and playful Alfonso who once felt like a hero and savior of the world…
Remember that we all fight internal battles, beyond the mask we show to the world. And that it doesn't take much to be a hero; sometimes a hug, a smile, or simply listening to someone in need is enough.
